HOTMAILHOTNAIL<\/strong> is a nail art project initiated by Ivana Milenkovi\u0107 in 2019, merging service, art, and sociopolitical engagement. In a workshop on September 28, Milenkovi\u0107 invites participants to collaboratively create press-on nails. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With great dedication and interest in her clients\u2019 stories, her artistic practice delves into themes such as care for others and body treatment. Often linked with stereotypical gender concepts, nail art is reinterpreted and imbued with emancipatory symbolism: painted nails serve as body adornment and a symbol of solidarity with diverse identities. At the Kl\u00f6ntal Triennale, HOTMAILHOTNAIL addresses the rigid gender norms of the industrial era and their evolving transformations.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ivana Milenkovi\u0107<\/strong> (*1994, CH, residing in Zurich) works as a freelance artist and cultural mediator, having completed studies in art history and film studies at the University of Zurich.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

HOTMAILHOTNAIL ist ein Nailart-Projekt, das 2019 von Ivana Milenkovi\u0107 initiiert wurde und die Bereiche Dienstleistung, Kunst und sozial-politisches Engagement verwebt. In einem Workshop am 28. September l\u00e4dt Ivana Milenkovi\u0107 zu einer gemeinsamen Gestaltung von \u00abPress-on-Nails\u00bb ein. Mit viel Hingabe und Interesse f\u00fcr die Geschichten ihrer Kund*innen ber\u00fchrt ihre k\u00fcnstlerische Praxis Themen wie die Pflege und Sorge f\u00fcr andere Personen oder den Umgang mit unseren K\u00f6rpern. Vielfach mit stereotypen Geschlechtervorstellungen verbunden, wird Nailart so neu interpretiert und nicht zuletzt mit einer emanzipatorischen Symbolkraft aufgeladen: Lackierte N\u00e4gel als K\u00f6rperschmuck und Zeichen der Solidarit\u00e4t mit diversen Identit\u00e4ten. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Im Kontext der Kl\u00f6ntal Triennale steht \u00abHotmailhotnail\u00bb nicht zuletzt in Bezug zu starren Geschlechterkonzepten der industriellen \u00c4ra und ihren gegenw\u00e4rtigen Transformationen und \u00d6ffnungsprozessen.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
