Blind Date: An occasion hosted by Isabel Lewis
Kunsthaus Glarus
ab 16.30 bis ca. 19.30
In the exhibition space within Rita McBrides Arena Seatings DJane and dancer Isabel Lewis creates an artistic environment and a hospitable atmosphere, where text, music, dance, plants, food and smells intertwine. Situated between performance, philosophical salon and party a live experience unfolds, in which Lewis attunes to her guests and their moods and creates a space for conversation, reflection and joy in which the visitors come and go as they please.
Easing the formalities of distanced observation typically found within the theatre and exhibition contexts, Lewis (*1981, lives in Berlin) is interested in situations that generate relaxation where the entire human sensorium is addressed. Lewis hosted occasion conjures the ancient Greek symposium, where philosophizing, drinking and the erotic were inseparable. Visitors encounter smells made in collaboration with Norwegian smell researcher Sissel Tolaas and are welcomed with small bites and drinks provided by a local chef
